The tickets are finally here! The Annual TSPE BBQ Fundraiser will be held on Tuesday, June 14th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Northeast Harris County Community Center. This is the last chance to help support the Future City, MATHCOUNTS and Scholarship programs for the 2010-2011 TSPE year. This will be a great opportunity for networking as well as meeting with the new Commissioner for Precinct 2 and the TSPE State Chapter President. There might even be an appearance by the Texas Engineer of the Year, our very own Wayne Klotz, P.E. Don't forget the proceeds from this event will continue to support the future of Engineering. Do you have your ticket? If not, please register online at the link provided below.
If you still need continuing education credits for your license renewal, there are several events during June. Locally, there is a Leadership Forum with Ken Arnold speaking on Thursday, June 16th. The TSPE Annual Meeting will be held in Austin on June 22- 25th and provides an opportunity to receive up to 16 PDH credits. The early registration deadline for the TSPE Annual Meeting is May 27th, so don't delay. Registration for both of these events can be accessed from the Greater Houston Chapter website.
