The Greater Houston Chapter of TSPE will recognize the past year officers and commitee chairs and install their new officers for the upcoming year. Biography Kyle Womack was born and raised in West Texas. He attended Permian High School and graduated 7th in his class in 1971. Kyle graduated from Texas Tech University in 1975 with a degree in Civil Engineering. While at Tech, Kyle was a member of Chi Epsilon and Tau Beta Pi – both engineering honorary fraternities. He became a registered Professional Engineer in 1980.
Kyle was employed by Parkhill, Smith, & Cooper, Inc. in 1974. In 1979, he moved from Lubbock and opened the firm’s Permian Basin Office. He became a partner in 1981. He is currently a Vice President of the Corporation, manager of the Permian Basin office, and has served on the firm’s Board of Directors since 1983. Parkhill, Smith, & Cooper, Inc. is a multi-disciplined Engineering/Architectural firm with over 250 employees located in offices in Amarillo, El Paso, Lubbock, Midland and Odessa. The firm has been rated by Engineering News Record in the top 500 US consulting firms for the last 15+ years.
He has been involved in numerous public improvement projects in Midland, Odessa and throughout the Permian Basin during his career involving water supply and distribution, sanitary sewer collection and treatment, drainage, pavement analysis and design, residential and commercial development, TxDOT transportation projects, and airport planning and design. Two of his most noted projects have been serving as Principal-in-Charge for the design and construction of a new Terminal Building Complex at Midland International Airport, and for a new multipurpose Sports Complex in Midland – which included a 5,000 seat AA professional baseball stadium and an 18,000 seat state-of-the art football stadium.
He has been very active in his profession, community and church during his career and continues to serve in numerous volunteer capacities in Midland, Odessa, the Permian Basin, and various institutions. Please click the following link to read his complete bio with all the awards
